Treatments are comfortable and effective for a high percentage of patients.

How is Carboxytherapy performed?
It is a non-surgical method where carbon dioxide (CO2) is infiltrated into the subcutaneous tissue through a tiny needle. From the injection point, the carbon dioxide diffuses easily into adjacent tissues.

How does the carbon dioxide work?
Carboxytherapy works in two complimentary ways. Firstly, carbon dioxide mechanically kills fat cells directly. Secondly, it causes dilation of blood vessels in the area and increases blood flow and more oxygen to the area. The increase in oxygen is important because it eliminates the built up toxics and fluid from between the cells. The end result is fewer fat cells and firmer subcutaneous tissue.

Is Carboxytherapy painful?
No. Some patients can experience a light tingling sensation within the injected site. It disappears within a matter of seconds. Because of increase in circulation, the area may feel comfortably warm after the treatment.

How many sessions are necessary?
Around 15 and 20 sessions are necessary to eliminate cellulite depending on the extent of the cellulite. Ideally they should be carried out every other day, although sometimes 1-2 sessions per week will be enough. Each session lasts from 10 to 20 minutes.

How many sessions does it take before I see an improvement?
After the 7th to 8th session the skin looks noticeably healthier and smoother. When the treatment program ends you will have firmer, cellulite free skin.

What should I avoid after treatment?
You can resume your usual activities immediately after treatment.  There are no restrictions on any activities after the treatment.

Is carbon dioxide toxic?
No. Carbon dioxide is a natural gas that exists in our body. We breathe in oxygen and breathe out Carbon dioxide everyday in our life. The carbon dioxide infused in the problem area is minimal enough not to cause any adverse reaction.
